Bloomsbury Style Painted Furniture with Jane McCall

Learn how to emulate this distinctive decorative style to upcycle a piece of furniture to create a hand painted treasure.

Day two of our full immersion in all things Charleston Farmhouse as we continue exploring the iconic ’Bloomsbury’ patterns created by Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell and adapting them for our own work.

Armed with plenty of inspiration, Jane will guide you through the technique of loose painting and free flow design to transform a small piece of furniture to grace your home. You will need to bring your own small piece of furniture to paint. It needs to be cleaned and primed, ready to for you to get your creative juices flowing and not waste precious time on prep.

This course is held at Wisketts Barn, Jane’s stunning live/work space of the edge of Bewl Water. The walls of her home are decorated with painted murals and you will be inspired by the lampshades in her studio where she paints for her Bloomsbury Revisited business.
